I was baptized in that church, received first communion there, was later confirmed there and went to elementary school there for 8 years and graduated in 1982. Our high school baccalaureate services were held there as well (in 1986). I have very fond memories of SFDS.

That cross is a 12-year-old replacement. It was damaged in January 1994, and even the bell inside the tower was removed. (I wonder why?!)
I really wish the bell was still there. Back in Wilmette, IL where I grew up, I would hear church bells all the time from my home.
