Fact: coyotes are faster than greyhounds, whippets, or jackals

But not faster than an anvil dropping from above ~ or so it would seem.
There was a similar posting on telephone poles in Studio City. Except it said "Coyote sitting [sic]. Do not leave children alone!"
My friends and I tried to figure out just what "coyote-sitting" was and how awful it is to call a child a coyote, but then we realized that they just misspelled "sighting." Haha.
